Bradford Textile Society

I entered the Bradford Textile Society competition.

Summing up..

I also did some piping onto acrylic to see what the effects could look like.

I then needed to sum up all I had learnt and for this I put all of the sample on the floor to try to discover my next step!

I then removed all the unsuccessful samples away to develop a clearer pathway.

Stew Exhibition

Stew.

This was so much fun. I had never done an exhibition before so this was really an experience. 

I did struggle with what to put up, but with help from my tutor I began to understand the potential of my work. It doesn't need to be something, but it can imply somthing. Because of it's weird nature it provokes the audience to look and wonder. This is it's job.

Overall it was such a great experience. I learnt so much about display and where the potential lies in my work. This has made the prospect of the degree show less daunting.

Using this tool hides the broken but enhances the good.

I used lighting to enhance the shadows and create something more elegant and delicate.
